FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 26th, 1999 --
The Clay County Archives opened its basement doors for the 1999 autumn book sale on September 24 and 25. The quality and quantity donated books, as well as the many hours of dedicated work by the Hobbs and other volunteers, enabled the Archives and its patrons to enjoy their finest book buying/selling experience yet. The Archives is located at 210 East Franklin in Liberty and is open Monday through Wednesday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The telephone number is 781-3611.
The annual book sale has become a traditional part of the fun and festivities surrounding Liberty's Historic Square during the Fall Festival. By donating books now, readers help out the organization and clear off a shelf or two for purchases at the book sale. This is a great way to recycle.
Proceeds from the book sale benefit the Clay County Archives; a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Clay County history.
